This time last Thursday we were winding down after a busy day in London with Etsy’s Christmas in July Press showroom. It was so great to be able to show off some of our newest products and to meet lots of other Etsy sellers too.
The setting for the showcase was super clean and minimal (our level had lovely concrete floors) with simple display tables. Perfect for a selection of bright biscuit cushions!
It was great to chat to everyone who came in to visit- and to see excited instagrams from the day’s guests. Thank you to those who popped in to give our collection a gander!
We were also commissioned to make Biscuit Cushions for every awesome Etsy goody bag for the #ChristmasInJuly event- and it was lovely to see visitors happy with their gift!
I had a ball hanging out with the other Etsy sellers on the day, and couldn’t resist taking home a few souvenirs before a few of us piled round to Franco Manca for sour dough pizza and drinks. Oh No Rachio makes these brilliant motivational totes and super cute watercolour moon cushion. Not to mention the beautifully thoughtful Biscuit Queen notebook she made for me (see below).
I picked up a whole bunch of colourful kitchen accessories from Jonna Saarinen, including the Hundreds and Thousands tea towel (pictured) a bright birch tray and some cute badges and a pocket mirror.
Hannah of PupTartHandmade is the creator of the gorgeous golden pet bow-ties as well as the glitter pouch in midnight. The one I have is the large one- and I’m going to use it to carry around my little sketchbooks and pens (and also use it as a clutch at a wedding I’m going to next week)
I’ve admired Sparrow + Wolf since I first saw Cherie’s work at the Etsy House Christmas Pop-Up- so it was lovely to meet her in person. I snaffled one of her handy origami pouches (the lining is neon!) as well as lots on notebooks, including these foil embossed weather inspired ones (which I think I might frame once they’re full!)
I met Sophie of Neon London at a Crafty Fox Market back in 2014- so it was great to see her new line of pastel goodies set up next to my stand. I was lucky enough to take home lots of sugared almond coloured wrapping materials from her range, including the little reels of ribbon and pom-poms in the photo, as well as a a Pastel London wrap kit.
Abi of Hutch and Willow was on hand painting the cutest gouache and watercolour portraits all through the day- I’m so thrilled with the one she did of me!
I also picked up two candles from Ville de Fleurs (which aren’t in the photograph, as they were lit at the time!) Each of them have their own perfume that fills the room.
I had such a great time with Etsy- surrounded by so many talented makers and chatting to visitors about my work. Thank you again to the Etsy team for inviting me along to spend the day with them.
