It’s that time of year again. There’s a chill in the air and the fancy boxes of assorted chocolate biscuits are taking up almost a whole aisle in the supermarket. If I’m being totally honest, I ate half a chocolate orange for my lunch today, and I’ve been contemplating mulling all of our hot drinks- which means that the festive season is almost certainly upon us!
I’ve already given our online store a little touch of christmas sparkle using these gorgeous fan decorations that the nice folks over at Party Pieces sent to Biscuit HQ. I’m a total magpie- so I fell in love with the glitzy silver foil fans straight away. The giant holographic ones though? Be still my iridescent, beating heart!
I’m planning on taking inspiration from our monochrome biscuit cushion collection when it comes to decorating our home this year- and I know that the cool wintery tones in these fans will be just perfect.
We don’t have a traditional christmas tree, as I love getting creative with alternative decor ideas. At the moment, I’m planning a wintery wall of festive fans (something like this on my All Things Christmas pinterest board) along with a big old craggy branch, dotted with fairy-lights as our tree.
I’ll post a snap of our finished decor on Instagram, so be sure to follow me over there.
How do you decorate your home for the festive season? Do you love traditional christmas decor, or something with more of a contemporary twist?
