It’s been a busy week back in the studio since I returned from my whirlwind creative adventure in London last week! My journey started with the Mollie Makes Handmade Awards and finished up with an amazing Saturday at the 2nd annual Blogtacular conference at the Royal Institute.
I was really excited about seeing pals from last year’s conference, meeting new friends, hopefully absorbing some wisdom from the brilliant line-up of speakers AND unveiling my big Blogtacular secret. I had the job of designing their awesome goodie bag totes!
I knew that the big reveal was scheduled for the end of the day- so I threw myself into the sessions and put it to the back of my mind until then.
It was great to hear Grace Bonney of Design*Sponge talk about her journey- and hear her tips for tackling change and burnout. I took some notes from Grace’s Keynote in doodle form, which you can see here.
The rest of the day flew by in a flash: I learned about Marte Marie Forsberg’s creative process, growing your audience, did some styling with the gals from Betty Mag and took some tips from a panel of instagram pros!
The evening entertainment was going to be great- it was being held at West Elm, sponsored by Pinterest and I was hosting a little craft workshop making these:

It was so great to see everyone with their Jammy Heart tote bags!
We had a great turnout- wine was drank and lots and lots of cute fabric planters were made! It was so ace to hang out with all of these lovely ladies!
I couldn’t resist bringing along some sweet treats for our Pintacular crafters- a wee selection of our custom Boomf mallows and Tunnocks Caramel Wafers and Logs, of course!
I was clearly far too excited to take any photographs throughout the day- but luckily Mollie Makes and Piers MacDonald came to the rescue with the official Blogtacular and West Elm X Pintacular photos (credit to Piers and Mollie Makes for all photos except the one that’s labelled)
Thank you to everyone who came along to craft with me at Pintacular- and to everyone who’s posted nice things about your goodie bags- I’m so glad you liked them!
Please do comment with your link if you’ve blogged about your goodie bags- I’d love to read your posts!
